The current owners have enhanced the original features in such a way that the character and atmosphere of the place feel true to the original.
There are rich parquet floors, sash windows and fireplaces. A large family kitchen provides plenty of dining space and looks out to the tropical rear courtyard which is reminiscent of a rain forest with its green carpeted stone walls. To the front an olive tree offers shade in the south facing front garden and a perfect spot for breakfasting and dining al fresco.
The house is currently arranged with two first floor bedrooms and one ground floor bedroom, however this third bedroom could instead be a formal dining room or second sitting room.
The property is available chain free.

'Ramillies' is tucked away in its own tropical garden even though it is very centrally located for the town. To the front an iron gate leads you into a front hard landscaped garden with surprisingly exotic specimen plants. A path leads round to the side of the property and up a sloping path through another iron gate. Beyond this is a steep terrace with which effectively creates an atrium space in the courtyard garden below. The lower garden has further tropical planting and a hot outdoor shower! which adds to the rain forest feel of the flora. This courtyard area can also be accessed from the rear hall door.
Although there is no allocated parking for the property, the Grove car park is only 1 minutes’ walk away and an annual permit can be bought from the Council for this.

Ventnor is regarded as one of England's best preserved Victorian seaside resorts. On the South coast of the island, in the foot hills of the National Trust's St Boniface Down, its micro climate means that the outside table and chairs are under an olive tree in the courtyard garden... and it is 2.5 hours from London door to door, ferry permitting!

The Victorian bathing huts on Ventnor's big sandy beach have been given a new lease of life as beach huts that can be rented by the day, the local fishermen have a hut on the harbour where they sell their catch before anyone else gets it, there are boats to hire, and the beer at Spyglass Pub is great.
Ventnor's Botanic Garden is considered world class and both Dimbola Lodge and Osborne House are 30 mins by car.
